When the lazy way is harder

If you have a coverstitch machine, such as this one:

and the (expensive, optional extra) hemming attachment for said machine:

don't think it will be easier to sew two small hems (leggings legs) without the hem guide rather than going to the trouble of finding and attaching and remembering how to use the thing. Because you will have to redo the first hem about five times before it looks ok, and you will end up getting the hem guide out anyway to sew the second hem (and it's right first time of course). If you are me, that is.
